Father and daughter’s duet sounds on Oprah show - 2007-09-27
Lisa Marie Presley presented her new “duet” with late father Elvis on Oprah Winfrey’s daytime show on Monday. The new version of “In The Ghetto” could be recorded thanks to technology developments, and it’s part of a charity initiative which proceeds will go to help the ongoing New Orleans, Louisiana relief effort. The rocker said, "I felt that it had a lot to say and it made a great point. I've been asked for years to do a song with him, by his fans, so it made a lot of sense to do that one."

Thanks to technology, Lisa Marie Presley has recorded a song with her late father Elvis Presley. Her vocals were added to his 1969 song "In The Ghetto," the video will be available on the AOL Internet site Spinner.com. Taking about her emotional experience while recording, Lisa said, "We had two hours to lay down my vocals. So the next morning, I heard the rough and I've never cried when I've done anything, ever, but I just lost it when I heard it."

Born to Elvis and Priscilla Presley on February 1, 1968, Elvis's
only daughter Lisa Marie Presley spent the first four years of
her life at Graceland, where she was the apple of her father's
eye. When her parents split in 1972, Lisa Marie Presley left
Nashville with her mother for the suburbs of Los Angeles, but
regularly visited Elvis in Memphis. Music was undoubtedly a big
part of her life; Elton John, David Cassidy and some of Elvis'
